SAU’s farming operation is growing again, this time with the gift of approximately 400 acres of crop land in southern Lafayette County. The Southern Arkansas University Board of Trustees approved at their quarterly meeting Tuesday, Nov. 18, the issuance of bonds not to exceed $10 million for three facilities – engineering, a softball complex, and a world-class track. William “Bill” Stringfellow, a true gentleman with an endless devotion to his beloved Southern Arkansas University alma mater, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, following heart surgery.
